In addition to seeing that it far exceeded required building standards, a lot of time was spent designing the floor plan to make it as livable as possible. This project was an update to a vintage multi-family building in the up-and-came Logan Square neighborhood. The fun challenge with this project was deciding how best to blend the vintage details and charm with new finishes and a new layout. We think it turned out pretty well! The first real estate purchase of my career. I bought it during college with a little inheritance for a down payment. I did a small amount of work and started renting it. I finally sold it in 2018 and barely broke even but I learned a lot from the experience, especially about management as I never lived in the city where it was located. Map
