Quality Construction

How do you really judge construction quality? After a home is built, even the best inspector can only access around 25% of the space. To demonstrate our uncompromising commitment to quality (and to help you sleep at night), we have each new home tested by a professional third-party consultant and given a HERS rating, which is analogous to the Miles Per Gallon information provided with a new car purchase (in our opinion, buyers shouldn’t buy a new home without such information). Our past projects have exceeded ENERGY STAR standards by 50%, and were 20% more efficient than the average LEED home.

When faced with a design decision, we often ask ourselves what we would do if it were our home, then do it better.

Because they often have separate entrances and en suite baths, they could even be rented out for extra income. Other uses include a den, in-law unit, live-in nanny, or home office.



By popular demand, we help owners sell their apartment buildings. We got started in this niche after being asked to recommend energy-efficient upgrades that would produce a favorable return on investment. Before we knew it we were performing these upgrades, doing cash-flow analysis, and recommending sale prices. If you own an older apartment building with five or more units, we are uniquely qualified to help. In addition to knowing the most active apartment buyers, we have an in-house construction team that can quickly and painlessly perform pre-sale repairs to maximize price and speed of sale. You won’t need to lift a finger.


Robert Linn has always had a passion for building. He started tinkering in the family wood shop as a kid and went on to graduate with a dual degree in Architecture and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2004. In 2009 he received a scholarship to attend business school at Indiana University, graduating in 2011 with a double major in Finance and Management. He bought his first property in 2001 and formed the company in 2004 while still working full-time. He was written up in BuiltWorlds in 2015 for his early achievements in energy-efficient building, and continues to stay abreast of the latest design and building science innovations; including maintaining his LEED and NAR Green Designee certifications. He brings a practical, technical, and theoretical perspective to every project.
